Edward Barber is an English designer, born in 1969 in Shrewsbury.  In 1996, Edward Barber studied architecture at the Royal College off Arts of London.

In 1997, he started to collaborate with Jay Osgerby, joined and opened Barber&Osgerby Bureau.The two artists carried out the majority of their first creations while folding and by modelling matters in plates. The diversity and the contrast of their creations underline their flexibility and their talent and their capacity to create at the same time, as well on the level of the pieces of furniture of craft industry as at the industrial level.

Their creations are not the expression of superfluity or excess; they were defined as “works where the idea of functionality is left free define forms and intuitive, while keeping an artistic spirit opened with the experimentation by means of technologies more avanced". Consequently, Barber&Osgerby agency was devoted to various collections for producers and customers leaders, such as Magis, Authentics, Flos, Swarovski, Panasonic.
