This tea pot is part of the Semiglazed Ceramics collection designed by Sori Yanagi. The range was designed to be stronger than pottery, but as light as porcelain. This semi-porcelain is a material that falls somewhere between porcelain and ceramic. its matte glaze has a soft appeal and is the result of an advance in production that provides both strength and charm at the same time.  The range is available in both black and white and has the design feature of slightly curved indentations on the sugar, cream and water pitchers were the fingers should be placed for optimal ergonomics.
