The Marli wire fruit basket is part of the Marli collection designed by Steven Blaess. In Australian arboriginal language, Marli means "butterfly". For Alessi, Marli has become a family of objects with an aerodynamic shape which is combined with the plasmatic nature of the object. With its small wings, Marli will transform and expands to hold and contain things, such as a basket for fruits, bread or biscuits.
