After graduating from the Danish Design School in 1990, Soren Ulrik Petersen, SUP Design studio, has carved a name for itself with furniture, trade fair decoration and interior design. A handful of Sorens designs are at work in the rebuilt MOMA. Besides his work in the design field, Soren is a valued instructor and censor at the Danish Design School. SUP's designs range from furniture in elegant and unusual wooden constructions to dinner service in china and accessories in the highest quality.

His design philosophy: "in a globalize world, I believe that it is important that products are very well worked out as to idea, shape and function.  I work based on a mantra that products should contain function, social intercourse and dreams. Function because the idea should have a purpose, social intercourse because that it is the only reason why we are put on earth and dreams because they develop our thoughts and artistic experience of life".
