Oiva Toikka is a Finnish designer, was born in 1931.  One of the most famous specialists of the Finnish glass, Oiva Toikka takes out beaten tracks and positions himself from the Scandinavian concepts. He turns more over in performing arts as soon as he begins the work of the glass.

Endowed with an over flowing imagination and with a sharp knowledge of the glass, he created a magnificent collection of birds during the last 30 years. Appreciated by collectors all around the world, his birds creation are unique, and completely hand-made.

Toikka is renowned through his collection of birds and had won numerous awards: price of the Lunning design, the medal Pro Finlandia, the award Worls Glass Now 85, the price of the design Kaj Frank and or still the medal Prince Eugen and more.
